I was once told I should find one thing I was good at, and go with it. I didn’t agree. It took me the majority of my life to realize I possess something unique, the ability to be creative and logical. While these two words can seem unrelated or even contradictory, I believe they are as intertwined as day is to night, form to function, and concept to communication. Multimedia development embodies this idea, and pushes me to utilize all of my strengths for the ultimate goal of expression.

In the design industry, it is rare to see people blur these boundaries. Designers design but don’t understand the possibilities and restriction of technology. Programmers program but don’t understand the fundamentals of communication
and design.

atlasprojects has given me the opportunity to see multimedia development from all sides. With each new project and new client I am gaining additional experiences, resources, and skills. I find each aspect of my work equally as rewarding, from designing a website, to implementing an interactive demonstration, to communicating with my clients and running the day to day business. This is what being a multimedia developer is; this is what I love to do.

No, it's not me: This is Charles Atlas,
a "90 pound weakling" who reinvented himself into the model of perfection for the 20th century. Proof that the little guy can win big! He's got quite a following online, if

It takes a village. Two heads are better than one. Insert colloquialism here. However you want to say it, I can’t produce successful designs working in complete isolation. In addition to including my clients in the creative process, I have established a pool of designers, design companies, and supporting services to turn to when it’s needed. Conversely, these companies often call on my services to augment the talent they already have.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work comes from the variety of projects and companies I have been involved with. Through larger design firms I have had the opportunity to do work for some of the biggest names in the bay area; Adobe, AMD, Philips, SanDisk, Varian, and WSGR. Other large companies have formed long term relationships with atlasprojects such as Entopia, and Mindjet. I have helped smaller companies as they strive to become big, whether it was a website for a high-end fitness club, a product demonstration for a start-up software company, or a logo and flyer for a friend.
